You are not going to find a complete indepth answer about everything you need to know about caring for a hamster here. You haven't even specified which of the five hamster species you want care information about. Only two of the species have the exact same requirements.
First get some books, either from the library or purchase them. Then research on the internet. The Pet Website (http://www.petwebsite.com/hamsters.asp) is a good source as are the articles on the newsletter link of the California Hamster Association (http://www.geocities.com/CalHamAssoc/).
You can also locate a breeder of the species you're interested in and ask what their experience has taught them about any special care needs.
You can also join some hamster forums and browse care topics and common questions to find tons of additional information you won't find anywhere else.
A pet of any kind is a responsiblity and it's your job to research it completely.

I can say that taking care of hamster is a form of skill and commitment.
Changing the bedding, bathing the hamsters(hamsters maynot like water but they definately can be bathed with low lvl lukewarm water.), bring a hamster to a vet when it is sick (dont just leave it to heal itself, it have a life also), playing with it are all just part and pacrel of being the duties of hamster owner.
If u search a lot of webiste, they do provide basic material for the maintance of hamster.
What I recommend is this website:
www.hamsterhideout.com
The forum where all hamster lovers around the world interact with one another. Provide alot of insights that some the webiste dont have. Like where to look for the best vet and dealing with the passing of the hamsters etc.

hamsters are pretty easy to care for
change their bedding often get cedar chips or they have some other types of bedding available at pet stores that is a paper type of bed. make sure the cedar chips aren't treated with anything.
chew sticks for their teeth, a small salt lick, water bottle dish for food (although they will take their food and hide it) only feed them what they will use for the day check their bedding for "stored" food which means you are feeding them too much. They need that squeaky wheel for exercise....they are nocturnal so yes they will be up all night. type of cage a fish aquarium works well....they make toppers that fit over them with little hiding spaces and tube for crawling in. They make balls to put them in so they can roll around the house. if you live in a cold climate just to warn you they will start to hibernate.....do not warm them this will make them sick and they can die.....if your hamster starts to hibernate leave it alone and in a few days it will come out of it on its own. they are very fun and cuddly pets have fun.

Change it's bedding frequenly - they usually one corner as their wetting spot - the cedar chips work well.
They need hard things to chew as if they can't grind off their teeth it causes them to get like a lock jaw condition.
The food is easy to find - wal-mart or any pet store will carry it.
They like activity so provide a wheel attachment in their cage or one of the little balls that they can run around in on the floor.
