Dallas. They have played more games against the western conference teams (30 vs Phoenix's 24), and have a better winning % against the better teams in the NBA than the Suns.

When the Suns play more teams from the West, you'll see their record come back to earth. (just like getting stomped by Minnesota this evening).

Also, come playoff time, the Suns will be worn out. They are only playing 7-8 players on their team, whereas Dallas regularly uses 10-12 players...giving their starters more rest. Those minutes of resting on the bench really add up and will benefit the Mavericks come playoff time.

But neither team DESERVES the championship. A championship is something that is fought to obtain. Noone gives you a championship.

To me they both deserve the title.. But Dallas made did make it further then Phoenix last year.. so if it was between them i would say the Maverick's because they have a little bit more experience than Phoenix. The one team that we can't count out is San Antonio (even though I'm not a fan of them ) They always seem to creep up there at the end. What really scares me about Phoenix and Dallas is that they play good almost every year in the regular season and then they fall in the playoffs... I would have to see not just how both teams play in the regular season but how they would play when the playoff starts because when it does the regular season gets thrown out the door and the playoff intensity and atmosphere starts and the dog fight begins

Dallas. Phoenix is exciting, but a really good defensive team can lock onto their plays in a 7-game series. The big black and silver elephant in the room, however, is San Antonio. Dallas can beat them. Phoenix can't score 130 against the Spurs, and they can't slow them (or anybody else) down. The Mavericks can beat anybody, but even the Rockets or Lakers would give the Suns trouble in the playoffs.

Phoenix is hotter, and they are the better team too...it seems like they are just now realizing that their team is built of

1.The MVP and lead assist man Steve Nash
2. Shawn Marion the most versitile forward in the NBA
3. Diaw - this guy came from no where to be a big man with amazing ball handling skills
4. Stoudemire- best dunker in the NBA, solid defender, and quite possibly the fastest center in the NBA as well...
5. Raja Bell - Insert Ball, Receive 3 pointer
6. Barbosa - 6th man candidate, Steve or Raja could get injured and this guy could just step in and no one would notice
7. An extremely talented and underused bench

This team is the New York Yankees of basketball, their own hand picked all-star team. They just never seemed to mesh completely until now...

In the words of Jack Black, I cannot be forced to choose, and the teams would have to combined, making a team called "Phallas". He's so funny. Anyways, I believe that, although I am a Mavs fan, Phoenix is on fire this year (no pun intended). The Conference series will be between them, and I think Phoenix can pull it out in 7 games.

Man, thats a tough question, I think the Mavericks have a better shot winning the championship vs. the Suns. The Mavericks tend to beat the Suns when they've played this season, and the Suns tend to lose to elite teams. The Mavericks defense has locked down, and the supporting cast (Devon Harris, Erik Dampier) have seemed to have stepped up their games. The Suns bench isn't too deep, and that will hurt them in the playoffs.

While I do think the Mavs have a better chance, the Suns still have a great chance to win it all, the way they run, and with Amare getting better, it's crazy, and don't get me started on Marion and Nash.. just sick...

I dont know how anybody can argue with the fact of Dallas being the hottest team and possibly the strongest contender for the title. The have beaten the Wizards and the Suns both times they have played them this season. Look at the standings........
