Be a strong, supportive friend. Make sure he knows you are there if he needs someone to talk to. It's the most you can do because it's going to take him a long time to begin healing.

That is so sad. People dont realize that when they give their vows at the altar they are promising until death, not until that person no longer meets their needs. That's not a commitment! The only way to truly support him is to just be there with him. He's going through a huge blow right now. Being married for 16 years.. he's going to have a hard time doing anything for a while. Everything he does will remind him of his wife. Just try to be there for him the best you can. There really isn't anything else you can do. If it helps him out, maybe make a few meals for him and take them over to his house. The last thing the guy is thinking about is what he should make for dinner. Good luck.

it only means that above what they've been through, SEX is still what she wants. She might have said that it doent matter but it shows that she can throw all the meaningful memories she and her husband shared because of a good sex with her new man. Your friend is selfish. She needs to realize that. Someday, someone will do the same thing she did to her husband, and leave her for an unacceptable reason. So she should learn now before she sets herself into a trap.

The only thing that you can do is just be there for him and be supportive, and let him know that your a friend, and that your there when he needs a friend to talk with.

It's very sad what his wife did. And very wrong. Because she left him for a guy who could give her the sexual pleasure that she felt she needed instead of the love and security that he gave her, despite his low sex drive.

I have alot of respect for him because he treated her like a queen, and he deffinatly didn't deserve to be treated the way he was.

But again, just be a good and supportive friend.

I am going thru a similar situation. Just be there to listen. Believe it or not some people act like divorce is a contagious disease. Don't fix him up with a friend or anything like that. He'll know when the time is right. You are a good friend. He needs more friends like you

Just be there for him for moral support. It will take some time but the pain will lessen and he will be O.K. He is lucky to have a friend like you.

your friend just stuck around because her husband loved her and didn't mind her weight-- if she loved him she wouldn't have left him- tell this guy he deserves better( don't get too close to him he might rebound after you) tell him to get out - enjoy life- and not to take her back
