You need to get paps once you start being sexually active. Those who are sexually active have a greater chance of getting STDs and cervical cancer. One STD, HPV, can lead to cancer. Plus you would go to get birth control and to keep tabs on you with it.

you need to start having them either once u have become sexually active, or 18 yrs old, after u have sex is so you can be checked for and STI's, a lot of them have no symptoms, so how how else would u know?
