Well, as far as left handed, it was observed a long time ago that the majority of people were right handed, so left-handedness was supposed to not be from God, who created all good things, but from the Devil, . From that, came the negative associations with the left in other ways.

Left has been considered taboo for 1000s of years mainly because most people are right handed & left handed people were considered cursed. But now it's considered negative because it describes a political philosophy that goes against logic & reason and trys to force people to do things that they "the left" says are best for them when in the long run they really hurt people rather than help them.

Left was considered to be sinister. Latin terms come from that. In SIG's (dr's abbreviations for prescriptions) AS and OS mean left ear and left eye. The S coming from the sinister.
There are many books out there that talk about how evil LEFT is. It took years for parents and teachers to "correct" left-handers to be "right-handers". I am left-handed and have had to adapt to a RIGHTY world. But remember this, Left -handers are the only ones in their right minds.

The right is near useless without the left after all have you ever heard a amputee applaud. Everything needs a left and a right, an up and a down. Baseball would be lost without a left handed picture. There is one good thing about it. A left hander is also called a south paw, and south is good especially with the below zero temperatures that we are about to see.
