My computer has started something new. Whenever I boot up, the sound for MP3/Wave files is all the way down to zero. I'm talking about when I open the "sound settings" in the system tray. So, if I go to itunes and play music, I get no sound unless I go in and turn the volume back up on the setting for MP3.

This is a new issue, never happened in the past. I've tried to log off and re-boot with it in place the way I want it (so it will save it), with no luck. I've tried going through the Sound stuff through the Control panel. No luck.

Could someone give me an idea of how to fix this?

Open every sound program you have at once and change all volume controls to maximum loudness (i.e. open windows media player, quick-player, nero player, real player and set them all to max volume). Close them all and continue as usual (reboot after this session then check it).

The volume controls affect other volume controls on your computer but general rule of thumb is your "default" mp3 player has preference over the others.

One other unknown factor is connection of ipods onto your computer could also affect the kast known volume setting for windows (which resets the others as well)

Another rule-of-thumb Rule is that each program has its own "options or preferences settings" that will state how each behaves or overruns other programs ... you have to tweak them according to your personal specifications

when you're utilizing internet Explorer, open the equipment menu and choose internet recommendations. Then form the URL on your position web page contained in the proper open area, or when you're at your required abode web page, you may go with "Use present day" instead of typing.
