Since your 9 weeks, I"m guessing this is your first ultrasound, so they'd be doing alot of measuring, takign alot of pictures of baby, they look at the thigh bone, the heart, the flow or blood pumping, the size of the head, circumference, things like that. It gives them a great estimated date and they look for alot of other things to see if baby is starting off healthy. They look at the fluid also around the baby, making sure there's enough, so you can guess it'll be 30-40 minuites. It depends on who's doing it, how well they do it.. but it won't be an in and out of ten minutes. Time will fly by though when you watch your baby on the screen, never can seem to get your eyes off of it when you see the little one moving around.
Congrats!

The first ultrasound, given at around 12 weeks (sometimes as early as 8, or as late as 16) usually lasts around 5-10 minutes. Measurements will be taken of the readily developed parts, to insure that your due date is appropriate. There is very little to see at this point, though, if you're far enough along, you may be able to see a tiny flutter of the beating heart.

The second ultrasound will last around 30-60 minutes and will be much more interesting. The baby's features and possibly genitalia will be visible.

It depends if your first US is early like 6 to 10 weeks than about 10 to 30 min if you get in the room on time. If it is the anatomy US usually 20 weeks it takes more like 40 to 60 min. US offices can be very backed up so expect a delay

A first diagnostic ultrasound for a pregnancy should last approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on how cooperative the baby is in it's positioning and how easy it is for the technician to get all the necessary measurements. I went for mine about a month ago and it took about an hour because of my uncooperative little peanut(he was trying to hide by the placenta so it was hard for the tech to get measurements on his head). If the baby is being truly uncooperative you may have to go back. I just kept trying to shift him around by shifting my own position and getting up a couple of times and he finally came around to the program lol. Good Luck

Depends on how many weeks you are and the position of the baby my first went about 20 min but my second was about 45 because they couldn't get a good view of her heart.

The test it's self only takes about 15 to 30 minutes depending on which pictures they need.

if you are talking about how long they last, mind did for about 30-45 minutes. my dr had to do a lot of measurments to make sure my lil ones (twins) were growing properly. but not sure if yours will take a little bit shorter amount of time due to one child (if you are only having a single baby). i wish it would have lasted longer!!! its the most exciting thing. first look at your baby :)

it took about 30-40 Min's but it feels alot longer then that because they get you to drink so much water and you have to hold it for so long it hurts sometimes.
