Hi, I've found that more often than not MAC foundations do clog pores. However, everyones skin reacts to different ingredients and you need to find out what could cause the problems for you.

This places keeps the most up to date info for MAC ingredients.
Look under the sections listed Ingredients. If you are looking for Select Cover up go to P-S. It takes a second to load.

Any foundation containing oil or sunscreen has the potential to clog pores. MAC has so many foundation types in their range that it's hard to pinpoint one as "this will clog pores" and "this won't" - it's up to the individual. If you have had acne breakouts in the past and can link it to a particular ingredient, stay away from foundation that contains it!!

I have used MAC Studio Tech, Hyperreal and Studio Fix for years without ever breaking out but some people I know have. There you go!

Im not really sure what MAC foundation is. But if it has ingrediants that you cant even pronounce then DONT use it. The only thing that I love use for my face for foundation is Bare Minerals makeup.! It doesnt have any ingrediants except pure minerals and color. So i would definetly recomend bareminerals coverup. Theres also concealer for under the eyes if you have any puffiness.! It also doesnt clog any pores. Because im a face cosmetology and i love makeup. I use it ervery day so i chose something that is great for your face and i love it. It actually improves your skin the first couple of months that you use it.! TRUST ME! its the best. Try it out.

All liquid foundation could potentially clog pores.

Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. It is made from natural ingredients as is a powder foundation. It works really well!

If a foundation contains titanium dioxide, it will more than likely clogs pores and cause you to break out.

well, it must... because about 90% of people i know who've used it said it broke them out (including me).

EDIT: be careful with Bare Minerals foundation (which one of the other answerers recommended). it broke me out terribly and made my face quite oily/shiny. almost everyone i know also broke out with BM, and/or it made them itch (due to the bismuth oxychloride in it).

if you're interested in minerals at all, the mineral makeup i use offers fantastic coverage, lasts sooo long, looks surprisingly natural, and doesn't contain any chemicals! in fact, there are only 4 ingredients; your skin will thank you. =) www.aubreynicole.com
