Why would teachers support those who want to destroy their future studends?

They don't care about their students, past present or future. They only care about themselves.

That is like asking why don't Republicans do an outright ban on abortions? The answer is simple, it would be the end of their political careers. And thereby taking a thorn out of the side of Democrats.
Or why would the Republicans support the education funding cuts? Or cut funding to local law enforcement? Arent they the first line of defense against terrorism? They have been doing this for quite awhile now.
I figure that enlightment, logic and reason are the worst enemy to a pesudo-Republican.

Teachers unions support those who support education... Democrats. It's really that simple.
