Because I think Charlotte is an awful market to put an NBA team!
Pro basketball has failed there twice now. With the Hornets moving to New Orleans and also the folding of the WNBA Charlotte Sting.
We're talking North Carolina here...when you're talking about North Carolina - two things come to mind...a really good minor league baseball system and really good college basketball.
I mean - it's really the same kind of thing with Kansas City and them possibly scoring an NBA or NHL franchise. That part of the country - Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas etc. is big on its college sports - especially basketball. My thinking is, many people in those states aren't going to give much allegiance to pro basketball...they love their college game.
