I've seen soooo many work at home ads that seem like huge scams.. I don't expect to make a huge amount of money, just enough to help my family get by and allow me to stay at home and raise my child. I live in the Midwest. Does anyone have any ideas? I have a degree and lots of work experience... Thanks for your help!

I live in the midwest and am a stay at home mom also. In order to make a little extra money I became a Mary Kay consultant . I am very shy and have made it this far without being pushy or harassing my customers. I currently work 20-25 hours per week and average approx. $2500/month. Very low start up costs, huge tax advantages. The company has been around since 1963 and has been the #1 brand of skin care/color cosmetics since 1993. It's easy to do and easy to work around any schedule necessary. There is a lot more info that I can give you but not sure if this is what you're looking for.

I definitely understand your issue here. I also was in that same position around this time last year. I decided to join up with a direct sales company. Try looking at www.dsa.org for more info about whatever kind of product you would like to sale. Definitely don't try any of those online scams though all they want is for you to pay them money for them to rip you off. I don't it's just a thought. If you'd like e-mail me and I can tell you of a few companies that I know are doing well depending on what you want to sell. wild_sweet16@yahoo.com

Hi Genie, I do have a great suggestion/opportunity for you. The company I recently enrolled with is currently offering two at home business positions, one where we help others save money on their health insurance by offering them our benefits package, and the other would be helping individuals, such as yourself, find an at home position! You would be your own boss, set your own goals, work on your own time...and probably most importantly..bring in some extra cash for your loved ones and spend a bunch of time with them. If you are interested, simply click my avatar image, which should take you to my YA profile. Once you are in my profile, you will see a link, click the link, review the companies' website, and request an interview. Its that simple! Just a side note, the company is in excellent standing with the Better Business Bureau, has been featured on the show 60 minutes, and offers free health benefits. Best of luck to you!

Hi,
I've found something that I'm really happy with!!
(International is fine, too.)

It's not get rich quick, but it will quietly run in the background until it's ready to truly support you & your family with a real income. (Doesn't take long, though.)

I really recommend this!

Yahoo frowns upon links here in the Q & A section, so if you would just click on my profile, you will see it there.

Blessings to you in 2007!!
Bea

Check into running a daycare in your home. You could take just a few kids, make some extra money, be at home with your kids and have tax deductions from running a business from your home.
