I'm so used to watching my shows taped now (on the DVR); so much is reruns these days that I'm watching live TV and I am so impatient during commercials. Please tell me what you do during commercials. I'll check the answers during commercials.

I'm with you... I don't remember life before DVR. I hate commercials so much, if I'm going to watch something that isn't recorded, I'll pause it when it starts then go do something; like go to the bathroom, put in a load of laundry, get something to drink; anything if it means I can fast forward commercials. Or I'll record something and wait till the show is more than half way over before starting it.

Sometimes during the commercials I flip through channels until the show is back, or I go to the washroom or I get myself a quick snack from the fridge.

Go to the bathroom. Get something to eat. Go online. Or as someone else mentioned, I prepare myself to take a bath as soon as the next commercial break begins, so I can be in & out before the show resumes.

commercial breaks.. perfect time for refills, bathroom breaks, walk the doggie, go to thetv line up channel to plan next hours show, journal, pick out tomorrows cloths(because it takes hours the next morning ) take meds, fix coffee, jounal anythought you might have had during the show while it was on but didnt want to stop at that moment to do so. , run bath water hot hot so you can jump in durning the next commercial, brush teeth , lock doors, close blinds, i can go on and on.. when you have a short attentention span,, its a good time to lets yoru creatiivity work for you :)

do you know the average person sees about 700 advertisemetns in a day. thru television billboards, colthes, signs ect. Its no wonder you get sick of watching commericals
but sadly on the flip side we must love them a bit otherwise we wouldnt be runnin out to by the stuff they advertise.
