I felt ashamed because I was also looking at these other girls while my gf was there. She said it's fine, but is it? I enjoy it, but was my gf lying?

Why are you ashamed? You can just go and keep your clothes on or not go at all. Tell her it makes you uncomfortable and if she doesn't understand that, then she doesn't but at least you will have said what you feel.

Go and enjoy it with her and her friends! Your girlfriend's cool enough to be OK with being naked in a public place, and a nude beach is a great and appropriate place to get naked, alone or with others. Of course you looked at the other girls. Believe me, all of us who go to a nude beach look at each other...it's just human nature to "see and be seen". We don't stare or act like a perv, but we do look. It's no big deal, as your girlfriend will tell you.
Don't be shy or ashamed of being naked around others...the nude beach is an awesome place, and your girlfriend will be glad to see that you're getting naked like everyone else.

I'm a nudist, I think nudism is great, but it's not for everybody.
If you learn to seperate sex from nudity then that is the first step to overcoming shame about your body. Your girlfriend and her friends think outside the box and there is much you can learn from her. The whole experience can be quite liberating, but it takes a big first step to begin the journey.
That being said, you should never feel pressured to do something against your will that you are uncomfortable with, conversely you should not try to pressure your girlfriend to stop one of her favorite things either.

Nude beaches are not sexual venues. People go there for the relaxation and freedom, not to hook up or get their rocks off. Go, relax, and enjoy the day. Be thankful your girlfriend is so open minded!

Don't go. If you are uncomfortable, then you should respect that about yourself. You wouldn't try to talk someone else into doing something that made them feel the way you do, would you? Probably not. Something is telling you it isn't right, and you should listen.

If you don't want to go, don't. BUt she obviously doesn't have a problem with you seeing nude people if she wants you to go. SO if you are comfortable with it drop trow.

Well, if you don't feel like doing it, just tell her!And if you feel uncomfortable around naked girls, don't go! At least, you're bieng honest.
