2005 Impala Wipers stick straight up when turned off?

When I turn off my wipers they go straight up the farthest from lock position and stay. Its like the switch for lock position is flipped? Any way to fix it? They function 100% otherwise.

check the mechanism and the motor and the electrical control module under the hood against the firewall, usually on the drivers side. it may have the wires reversed, or connections mis-connected.
