I was wondering, what if we make the malaysian travel category also a general field where people could ask any questions not only relating to travel, cause sometimes when you ask general questions in the general category you get answers from all over the world which may not be relevant to where you are from. Example if someone wants to know whats the best gift to give someone for Valentine's day, you may get answers that's not in/from our country and does not follow the culture here, unless you ask to people of your own country. Well, just a thought...We can forget it if you like...

all your answers were great and i can see that the majority that answered agreed to my question. But the risk is as Bo$$ said, 'being reported'...agree with Superman as well, Myra was the granny not you Bo$$..you we shall call 'Datuk B'..LOL! yes even Myra has cooled down a bit..maybe busy with the visit malaysia 2007 thing. Anyway its hard for me to decide which one of you gets the points, so i will let the viewers decide.
Dave : you asked why??? well maybe cause you were robbed at knife point so we can help you overcome your fear ! lol!

Here here, I agree!
It's only a bit of fun on the Internet, there is enough rules and regulations in life without having to come on here and be told "You cant do this and you cant do that.

Yes boss, i did notice how irate you used to get when you first joined way back in November when people would ask about things other than travel.

But the net nanny I was referring to was our Myra who also came on here with all guns blazing scolding everyone for talking about other things, but I think even Myra has since calmed down now and is more mellow!

Edit: Boss, I just voted you for best answer, trust you to fall in love with a errrrr dinosuar

I highly agree with you. I've been thinking about this for a long time. Sometimes, i want to ask a question, not related to travel but other topics. And sometimes, i just want only the malaysian audience to answer.

I agree with this more than a 100%.

when I was new to YA travel-malaysia, I always get annoyed when people asking question that out of scope [sometimes i feel it was me when Repairman said "there's a net nanny here". Is it me you're referring to Repairman? ]but as we go along, we'll find the same kind of question (answers too) again and again because most people try to limit themselves to that scope or try to avoid people from critisizing. The most popular question is on hotel. boring, right? I can always go to other categories, but i like this malaysia travel very much.

Yes Sarah, why not? but the risk is, people will go reporting

If all question been ask over at M'sia travel than what the purpose of having multiple category for user to choose when they place their question??? Some times those people can’t even give a reliable answer and it won’t help much for those who place their question at the wrong category. Blame that person not their answer.
