He is miserable with her but he is scared if he leaves her he won't find anyone else...he is only 23. I want to help him but I don't know how to.

shake him into tomorrow, if he isn't care full he will be stuck in a relationship that he will have a hard time getting out of before he can screw his life up tell him to imagine being married to her for the next 50 years, having children with her{ cause she will have some as soon as she gets the ring on} and he will be stuck! even if they divorce he will be tied to her for rest of his life because of the kids. my bf has a ex wife that he married because he was young and she was over bearing and he went along. he never loved her, he ended it ten years ago. she would not let him see the kids with out a hassle even though he paid child support-about 500 every month plus health care and other things. we now have custody of his older son,{ who also hates her} and she has the youngest. who we haven't seen more than 2 times in the past 6 months. tell him to go out and sow some oats. there are many women out there and he deserves to be happy!!!

He needs to break it off with her if he is not happy and move on with his life... Just encourage him to do the right thing and support him through this... He will feel better once he does and he is young yet ... What makes him think he will not find anyone else???? He has to stop believing that lie.

Well, talking it out with him will help if he is willing. Try to understand where his fear comes from and address it. He is so young that quite possibly his fear is overblown. Fear of being alone is not a great reason to stay in an unhealthy relationship. Ask him to try and imagine his life without her. Would he be happier alone than with her? Tell him that he needs to be fair to himself and his mate, and give hiself a chance to find what he needs.

He must be scared for a reason. find out why. Is she mental? Has she threaten him before? You need to sit down with him and find out his reason and then try to help him. Maybe going to couple's therapy that may lead him to an escape door to freedom good luck with your friend.

Just reassure him that he will find someone else. Remind him that if he gets married, then it will really be a big mess. Tell him she will be entitled to half of everything. Oh, and if she gets pregnant, he'll have to pay child support.

1-if he hates her ..he shouldn't marry her
2- he needs to know he's loved
3- he needs to like himself(this should really be #1)
4-find out why he feels this way
5-he's too young to be feeling he won't find love
6-tell him to live life

That has to be something he need to figure out. all you can do is tell him that th situation is not good for him and he needs to get out of it. you just have to reassure him that he will find somebody that will make happier than her one day. you just to be that common sense in his head and reassure him.
