People are gonna say that it is because of injuries, and they may be right. The injury to Shaq has really hurt them, but then again what NBA team goes through a season without a key guy going down. The fact is the Miami Heat were built to win a championship, and thats exactly what they did last year. They are paying the price right now. Shaq and Gary Payton are getting too old, Antoine Walker is no longer effective, and Alonzo Mourning is no longer that needed spark off the bench.

The Heat are not doing well because Shaq is not playing. Without Shaq, Wade is the only other player on the Heat that is a threat....in my opinion. When Shaq comes back opposing teams will have two forces to stop.

Wade has played to many games in the last 15 months. The team is old (age wise). And, the big man hasn't played all year. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they make the playoffs and do well.

Becuase the players other than DWade, just realizes that they had to step up. Just 'cause Shaq was out, and is now taking it slow, doesnt give them a reason to not try hard. I think they're finally getting this [thank god], and if they get into the grooves of thing, and Shaq is gives at least 90%...I'm thinking another Finals apperence.

@ Strike Mike, who cares approximately that economic employer shot considering grew to become into the only shot Payton hit that game? in case you do away with Wade's 40+ factors then Payton's shot does no longer of meant jack because of the fact they could have been down by using 40+. do no longer act like a million shot (2 factors) made him out to be respected help. Now GTFO you clown! @ kibby, Wade confronted a greater valuable Piston (2006) team that featured enormous Ben Wallace (their protecting anchor) the DPOY that season. Wade's stat sheet grew to become into 26.7 ppg, 5.5 apg, 5.20 rpg, & a 61.7 fg% vs the Pistons. His numbers could have been greater valuable yet he caught the flu till now final out game 6 and it carried directly to the 1st 2 video games of the NBA Finals. The 2006 Pistons checklist grew to become into sixty 4-18. Lebron confronted the 2007 Pistons that no longer featured thier protecting anchor (Ben Wallace). The 2007 Pistons checklist grew to become into fifty 3-29 (11 game drop from the 2006 Pistons). Lebron's stat sheet grew to become into 25.7 ppg, 8.5 apg, 9.2 rpg, 40 4.9 fg%. i do no longer understand approximately you in spite of the undeniable fact that evidently Wade did greater valuable. Wade performed the greater valuable team, averaged greater factors and his fg% grew to become into so a lot greater valuable than Lebron's. @ We speaking approximately practice, that Mavs team won 60 video games that season and that they beat the protecting champs (Spurs) to get to the Finals. The 2006 Mavs have been solid and you will't discredit the 2006 Mavs because of the fact of what the 2007, 2008, 2009, & 2010 Mavs did. that's quite like asserting that the 2011 Bulls are going to dominate only because of the fact the 1996 Bulls did. The 2006 Mavs weren't chokers. they only have been given beat down by using an incredible participant. i won't have the ability to establish how the 2006 Mavs have been chokers whilst they beat the protecting CHAMPS to get to the Finals. Chokers do no longer beat champs in a 7 video games sequence.

shaq hasnt played, he has a system where he sits out a lot in the beginning and then he gets in shape and then he is ready for the playoffs, that way he doesnt have to go through the entire season
