I think that's a dirtbag show and I have no interest in watching it at all. Total waste of time. Might as well jam my face into a wood chipper.

I think the fakest part is the people that really suck bad and this year - yes - is the worst.
The bush baby dude and the fat kid with him, they must have hand picked those two from a halfway house. They have got to have some type of mental retardation and that's just sad.
Anyway, the rest of the season - whether the final 12 be hand selected or not, would be pretty hard to fake with the people calling in.

Not only is American Idol a Fake The judges are ruthless and shallow. Making fun of people, calling names its so terriable that society would watch it and venders would support it. After the first couple of shows I have pledged NOT to EVER watch anything that Randy or Simon are involved with because they lack any kind of human feelings and neither of them are perfect but they really give show business a bad name...and NO I didn't try out nor would I ever....So this isnt sour grapes its just I am sick and tired of shows that depict such behavior

TV producers of reality shows always manipulate things to make shows more interesting. There is not such thing as reality in a Reality Show! The producers of American Idol try to put together what they think will be the most entertaining program. Why else would they put on so many horrible singers? Because it's funny!
It's a show to be watched and enjoyed, but not to be taken very seriously.

Though I have only seen one episode of American Idol, i agree it is somewhat fake. I remember Ryan Seacrest interviewed a well-fit girl, and she explained that she worked out for a year to get her body. Then it showed video of her jogging and when she was overwieght. Now the question is, how did they get those professional video tapes of this girl months before-hand? Definitely fake.

The people are not fake, It's the judges. And I am pretty sure the producers and what not are telling them what to do to make show more interesting. It's just not what it use to be 6 season's ago.

Tottally, its so fake. The producers just want more people to watch it. People probably jsut go on to be the worst singer. I think that the judges are being really mean to the people, like when Simon called that guy a monkey, that was so mean. GOSH.

this is the first season of American idol,Ive watched-from beginning, now i understand why i never watched it before. i hate reality shows, i cant believe people would lower there selves to that level.i like the idea of giving people a chance to break into music industry if there good, but to put these people on who suck so bad and make fun of them, what good does that do?i guess I'm just getting old and all this crap is just useless time wasted

I AGREE! It even showed when Paula Adbul was doing her weird ants-in-the-pants interviews. She wiggled around and made absolutely no sense. I mostly think its the way the producers manipulate the scenes to make it seem way much worse than it actually is - but I think the people who are being real are great with their lousy voices.
