Certainly life is far more complex than just the two examples you give, of its substance. Not only that but there is no direct correlation between beauty and tragedy, IE: Opposites might have been a better choice in words chosen, such as Beauty and Ugly. BUT even those are reletive to ones perception of either.

from my point of view, i like to modify...
Life is a combination of tragedies and its solutions.
Some people hav only tragedies and searching for the right solution. Some have solutions in a right way. Some have solutions but they are using in a wrong way......

Life is too complex, you cannot boil it down to just two components 'tragedy' and 'beauty' Think about that tiny grain of sand to the mighty mountains, the tiny little dew drop to the mighty oceans, the tiny little tear to the paralysing grip of fear...no we are not programmed to understand the purpose of 'Life.'

Might be..but it depends on the time and the mental strength of each person to make the best out of the tragic moments. One poet wrote a very nice poem to his wife when their only son died. Though it was meant for consoling her..the poem has become very famous as it is one of its kind.
Good and bad are part of our life. We should know to manage both and understand.

great beauty is when u choose to make life beautiful yourself and you have achieved the goals u have set for your life.....but tragedies are just interruptions into such goals and lifes beauty and all these are combined to make so called our life!!!!!
