i am going to be getting a lizard soon and i want one that is not small, so i was just wondering which one is cooler and seems to be more tame, so just stuff like that.if you know of any other lizards that are not oo small like the size of an adult bearded dragon, then let me know.

I've kept both and I'd have to say that the bearded dragon is usually friendlier and easier to handle. Both are considered good "beginner" lizards. See links for info:

If you go to the homepages of the above websites, you can find info on other lizards as well.

I have a blue tongue skink and he is great, The only problem was when i got him i let him roam around the house and when it came time for feeding he never ate his veggies and gerber turkey stage one * that's what the pet shop recommended i feed him* and that went on for like a week...one day when he was out roaming i saw him sharing a can of cat food with cat in the kitchen and i have been feeding him the canned cat food ever since. Hes very healthy and i have 2 small children and he has never bite them or hurt them in anyway...he is so gentle~

I say get a skink but that's only because i have one i have never owned a bearded dragon. I also own 3 iguanas and they make great pets too just have to watch out for the tail its very dangerous!~*

defiantly a matter of opinion but I would for sure say bearded dragon!!! maybe read up on the two and see which one you like best. a few other suggestions, I LOVE my 2 Iguanas they are very tame and friendly and get up to 6 feet!!! Mine will sit on my shoulder while I prepare his food and watch tv, hes still pretty small. Also I am very fond of my water dragon, they are very easy to tame and get to be up to 3 feet. best of luck hope I helped.

Bearded dragon-they are hardy, can live to be 15 yrs old, need to feed them once or twice a day (depending on the size),

Beardies make great pets. Each has its own personality and tends to love human attention. Mine get excited when i come home just like puppy dogs. I'm the proud owner of 9.
