I would like to remove saved e-mail and files that I may need down the road. I am also changing servers. They offered a system to move e-mail to new address. Tryed to down load. Hours later it still did not do it as far as I can tell. I am not a computer friendly person. But I am learning. Would appreciate any help.Thanks.

I have a travel drive that holds up to 512 MB. It's perfect! So much easier and more reliable, even more durable over time, than a floppy disk or CD of sorts.

Check this out:

Memorex® 512MB TravelDrive™ USB Flash Drive
Perfect for storing and transferring data between home, office or school computers

512MB
USB 2.0
Sleek, unique silver and black design
Durable storage with up to ten years of data retention
Excellent for storing data, music files, pictures and important business presentations
Works with PC and Mac

When I left my last job, I forwarded all emails that I might want to keep to a web based address (like hotmail or yahoo) where I can check them as I need to to. As for other information, depending on how much you have, can you burn it to a CD or DVD, if it's a ton of stuff, you can pick up an external hardrive from a computer store.

Flash Memory.
Yea, just insert the card, look in my computer, and you will see removable devices, removeable media, or somehting along those lines.,

Simply drag and drop them on there, it acts just like mini hard drive.

With your emails, save them 1 of the 2 ways..
If you have IE6, click "File", save as.... and name it there. save it to that card, or desktop and drag it to the card.

If you have Ie7, click on tools, save as.... same as above.

It is very simple, just drag them like you would some pictures into that card. When you plug the card in, most of the time they will autoplay, just pick to "always open to view files" or DOn't pick anything, and click "open to view files"

Be careful saving them to an alternate email address, because if you do not check it at least once a month or so, hotmail and places like that will suspend your account. It will still be there for ya, but your mail always gets nuked.
