Does anyone know what this is called and where I can buy it on dvd. It was a robot girl and they would open up her back sometimes to "fix" the robot parts. She wore a red dress.

You're talking about "Small Wonder" and the robot's name was Vicky which actually stood for something but for the life of me I can't remember.

I checked on amazon .com and the site says that it hasn't been released on DVD or VHS yet. With the way folks are requesting all of the old tv shows, it may be released soon. I hope so, I actually liked that show too.

You're on about Small Wonder, which was a sitcom between 1985 and 1989. It centered around an android named Vicky (or V.I.C.I)-which stands for Voice Input Child Identicant-and her attempts to learn human behaviour.

The show was cancelled after its fourth season.

I remember the show....but not the name. It was like in '85-'86 I believe. She was a brunette and even tried to talk "robotish". She reminded me of Soleil Moon Fry (Punky Brester) but younger.
