yes.most of them are martial arts tattoos but i have my entire life interwoven throughout them.my wife and children,the loves of my life bushi kai,zen do kai and muay thai and my harley.(did i get that around the right way lol.)plus various other things.basicly i just keep adding my life story wherever i can,affording it is the hard bit.art work in progress.

Absolutely. I wanted a tattoo for probably 8 years before I got one. Mine (a wolf head staring straight at you) symbolizes an inner strength. A determination that noone can touch me or break me. Several years later after a very difficult ordeal, I decided to get a bird in flight. Symbolizing the fight for freedom that is so important to me. They're both in places most people will never see. They're for me. Not anyone else.
A coworker of mine has a little heart on her chest. It is the physical memory of the twin she lost at birth. Her twin she grew up without. Most of us have very special reasons for our tattoos.

I wanted something that people would say, "Yeah, that's him!" so I chose Rush's 'starman' logo on my right arm. I've followed the band since 1973 and have every album and it seemed that my lifes' major events have been marked by the release of each one, such as graduating high school, getting married, buying a home, having a baby, etc. Would could be more appropriate?
Besides, it's just plain cool!

I have dealt with a lot of mean people in my life. I have a picture of Ernie, from Sesame Street, on my hip. He's always been a happy and safe character for me. It's also my tribute to the late Jim Henson.

mine is a pair of handcuffs with roses, it's on the back of my shoulder...I had it done when I seperated from my husband. I forget that it's there until someone asks about it..so mine has meaning about something I wanted to remember.
