I had hernia surgery to my stomach two weeks ago. The incision is approximately 10 in long.

The area along the incision line is itching terribly and is driving me crazy. No sutures or staples were used, only medical glue. I know the itching is due to the healing process but is their anything else I can put on or around the area to stop the itching. (Out of calamine lotion, didn't know if I could use that anyhow) but will take any ideas.

If you are allergic to cortisone try ice or a very cool, damp cloth.
Hope you recuperate soon!

There really isn't anything you can put on the incision that will help the itching without irritating it. Putting anything on a healing wound/incision can increase chances of infection and increase chances of scarring. I would recommend just dealing with it. I had the same problem with an incision and just dealt with it. Once it is healed more you will be able to lightly brush it with clean hands to help the itching but I would keep it clean and let your body continue to do it's thing!

Try Benedryl cream- it should stop the itching without slowing the healing process. Good luck!

You can try a cortisone cream, but beware that it will slow down the healing process. You could also try a paste of baking soda and water. It should get better soon. Good luck!!
