I had a LEEP done 1 week ago & today I just started having a bloody discharge. During the first few days I didn't have any discharge, then 2-3 days ago I started having a brown, smelly discharge (which the dr said would happen) but now I'm seeing blood. Is this normal? What things did you see after your LEEP?

Seems normal. Just checking, but have you been overdoing it a bit? Too much movement? I took it easy for a week, and then just didn't do strenous stuff until week 4. I wasn't told about the douching with betadine, but I don't see where that would hurt at all. It is used on all surgical procedures and is great antibacterial stuff. The smell of the discharge is odd, but that is normal like dr. said. I hope everything goes well for you!

It is very normal, I have had several coposcopies and twp leeps. You will see some strange things for a few months as the cervix heals. I don't want to be to blunt, but you may also see things that look like chunks of skin. Just make sure you don't have intercourse, use any tampons and don't take any baths for at least 6 weeks.

I had a discharge for a couple of weeks. I talked to my doctor and she told me to douche with betadine. That solved the problem. You will want to ask your doctor because there may be other things involved.
