the area of a square = length x length = length^2 (squared)

so work backwards:

A= 441m^2
take the square root of 441m
21m.

The formula for the area of a square is A = s to the second power. In this case s to the second power = 441. Now take the square root of each side to get s = 21 so each length is 21 meters.

21 meters. You just needed to find the square root of 441. Since the field is a sqaure, all sides are the same length.
