In any industry, the most immediately lucrative jobs tend to be sales. That assumes that you are made for sales and motivated to sell. If you are early in your career, look to do a variety of things in the industry of your choice so that you get a broad exposure and set of experiences to make you well rounded over time. Do not settle too soon unless you are one of those people who just "know" what they were born to do.

While money is important, understand that over the long term, you are more likely to make money in a field you are wired for and enjoy than in one that you pursue simply because you want to make money.

Another thing, just because you have a degree in tourism mgmt, does not mean that you have to make a lucrative career in that industry so do not put yourself in a box. Look to build a career based on your strengths and what you want are interested in contributing, not just on your degree.

Good luck.
