just cuz you have little fake icons to hide who you really are why does everyone think its ok to be rude and mean?

Not everyone is like that. Those that are, obviously have issues with their personal life that they can't deal with head on.

To be honest with you, If I posted my real picture I'd still be the same way I usually am. Some people are just smartasses and think they are better than others. Some people get pissy because they see the same questions over and over again, and some people are downright assholes, all you can do is ignore them, or report them, or do what some people do to me when they don't like my answers send a nasty email, I dont understand why its not like I'm rude. I'm just honest, some people need the nice dose of truth, and not the sugary sweet answers.

Here in Pools & Surveys it's a little more relaxed than other ones. The rude and mean are the ones hiding or have a chip in their shoulders.

Cause most of those people that are rude and mean on here are probably somewhat nice in person. This is a way for them to be someone new and express themselves in ways they don't normally. Just my guess. :)

i agree with some of the rest on here. just ignore them. they don't know you and you don't know them, so why take offense? i guess they just want to vent some steam on whoever is the easiest. if you don't know who they are, that makes it real easy for them, doesn't it? don't worry about it. for every rude person on here, there are a hundred nice ones!

I think it is because they can get away with it, while hiding behind the computers, IE, they can't be clobbered over the head. It would be nice if we could though. :)

Because those people do not know why or how, they just do it. Maybe they think they are being cool and perfect, but really they are just being a bad example.
