I just started working in Public Accounting. Busy Season just started, and I work a 65 hour workweek....
...and, I think that that's unreasonable. If I don't get at least 65 hours, I get fired, and they will replace me with someone else who is willing to do that. The pay is decent, but, I don't want to make myself sick. Suggestions?

It's worth it. My friend is an accountant and she gets crazy time off after tax season is over, plus i hear the pay is real good. Stick it out for at least this year and if you can't handle it find something new.

Lots of vitamins and eat right. Just remember tax season is over in April. All public accountants are busy putting in just as many hours.

Do it from home on you own time, baby.
Quit and run like hell. There's another job waiting for you to allow you to do it on YOUR time.
Life's WAY to short to be so tired and miserable.
Even if you get another job that pays less, you'll make it up on the side, and eventually build a steady and stable clientele.

Man that does suck but that is the working world. If you really don't think you can keep it up maybe you just better quit and find something else. You better find something before you quit though you don't want to not have a job. Sorry I don't have anything better.

Ride it out, it's dead the rest of the year and you'll be able to catch up on your social life and your sleep after April 15th.
