The arguments sound just like Pres Bush

She admits Iraq violated the cease fire of the Gulf War (which was the main reason why we went into Iraq).

Why is it that Democrats and a few Republicans use the war as a political vehicle?

On Hillary, I think there are two reasons she inspires loyalty. First is the celebrity factor. Thanks to the unending soap opera of her life with Bill, people feel they know Hillary at least as well as any of the Desperate Houswives of Wisteria Lane. Many feel emotionally invested in her and never want the show to end. Second--and it pains me to type these words because I share your dislike and distrust of the woman--Hillary is smart and disciplined, traits that she has joined to an amoral ambition that would make Lady MacBeth blush. She desperately wants to be president, she has the IQ to do it, and maybe that ruthlessness will be an attribute. As a disillusioned conservative, I can't help but wonder if this type of discpline wouldn't be an improvment over the application of creation science to international issues as we've seen over the past six years.

As for the use of the war as a political vehicle, that is entirely appropriate. The Prussian military theorist Clausewitz said that war is the pursuit of political objectives by other means, while Clemenceau--the Prime Minister who led the French to victory in WWI (yes, they don't lose 'em all)--correctly noted that war is too important to be left to the generals. The decision to go to war, to pursue a war, to end a war is political above all else, and it is appropriate to debate it in political fora. There are boundaries of decency in these debates, though. The sort of demonization of our troops that occurred during the Vietnam debates has no place--and nor does the hijacking of military symbols for partisan or personal political advantage. ("Mission accomplished," any one?)

For the same reason people follow Dubya, who IS a fraud and a liar. Who, I might ask, has gotten more mileage out of this war, Bush or Clinton? They all sound the same.
By the way, the MAIN reason stated for invading Iraq, was WMDs. That is what was announced on International TV, by good ol' W. That is what was sworn to by Condi, and even poor Colin, who later made a public statement about regretting it.

Consider this:
In order to be in politics, one must be willing to abandon principles and compromise. In order to be a politician you must be willing to lie cheat and steal. Can you think of one politician who is in politics for the common good?

This is not Norman Rockwell's America anymore, it is the American Oligarchy - A government of the Corporations, for the Corporations, and by the Corporations. If you are not a Corporate Whore, you don't get elected.

For the same reasons they accuse Republicans of the same thing. It is easier to accuse the current President of incompetence, very difficult to come up with a better plan.
I have heard Sen. Biden (who dropped out of the Presidential race years ago for being exposed as a liar on his college grades) slam Bush, but he offers no better plan.
I admire the Democrats ability to throw mud at the wall to see what sticks, but would like to hear an actual plan.....

The people who follow liberals are all about feelings. They don't recognize fact as real. They believe that what ever comes into your mind is reality. They recognize that fact can be used to prove anything even remotely true so they block them out. They only use the random thoughts that come into their dimly lit bulbs.
