It depends what age you are.
It happened to me last sprin when I came to US
I found an old man sick from cancer and he become like grandfather to me. One day I understood that he is in the hospice. I went there twice. The second time I told him, hey get better and I want to visit you at your home next sunday. And the saddest part is he died two or three days after. But give him a hope tell him good things.
You know that the hope dies last.

just tell him how much you love him
how much he means to you
and how your life is so enriched for having him in it
and stuff like that
tell him stuff you have always wanted to tell him, smile a lot, keep it nice and light, do not give any hopes just be there for him hold his hand, sit with him, talk to him, maybe tell him a story, listen if he wants to tell you a story, be there...
and if you just feel like being quiets at times, that is the right thing to do at that time...just sit there so he knows your with him

good luck
and
God Bless

Does he want to talk about dying? If not, just talk about other stuff. Like current events, fond memories. Have him tell you stories about him when he was young. And if you are a kid, tell him what you want your future to be. Hope this helps.

Before you go to see him think of a couple of funny things that you know will bring a smile to his face and maybe even a tear of laughfter. But most of all tell him you love him and how much he means to you . This would mean allot to him if you did this.

Tell him you love him very much and ask him if he is ready to meet his heavenly Father. If you do not ask now, tomorrow may be too late. Ask him if he would like you to read a special passage from the Bible. Be there for him.

Why not talk about the good times y'all had together. Dont bring up anything sad or upsetting. Maybe try and make him laugh a bit.

When someone is that close to death - they need to know where they are going to spend eternity. May I recommend that you read the Bible to him and let him know what Jesus did on the cross for him. Make sure this man's relationship with right with God before he dies - he will not regret it I can guarantee you on that:)
