I will be graduating in May with these two degrees and a minor. I have alot of volunteer experience (working as a tutor in the public schools, volunteering at an assisted living facilitie, etc.). I have completed my degree in 3 years-instead of the typical 4 and have made Dean's List every semester. I am hoping to find work (because I cannot afford grad. school right away)...all suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Pick up the job ads and apply for anything--repeat anything--that seems like it would be fun to learn about. Don't restrict yourself to education, government, or non-profit organizations, even though these seem 'aimed' toward your majors. Your education will be of greater use than you can anticipate at this point. At the interview, don't make a big deal out of your college education, or your grades, or your majors: you're just you, looking for a job, and your resume has the rest.

Have fun. I am envious.

Dude, I hate to break this to you, but I had to learn this the hard way myself.......
You are not very employable. You can't offer SKILLS to an employer that they are willing to PAY YOU MONEY for. If you had majored in engineering, you wouldn't have that problem. You're obviously smart. You have degrees. I was in the same position. But you don't have skills someone needs and will pay you good money for. I solved that problem by going back to college and gettting a Master's degree in science education. Now I teach high school science. There is always a shortage of science teachers. Find out something you can do that there's always a shortage of people in, then go into that. Engineering is hard, so that's why there's always a shortage of engineers and the salaries are high because of that.
