My brother in law just married a mail order bride one month after?
he divorced my sister in law and abandoned her and their adopted son. What the hell? He was set up by his sister (my other sister in law) and the mail brides sister who is already here married to a 60 year old man and is an apparant gold digger. My brother in law started talking to the woman in Taiwain by phone and internet in September, when he ended it with his wife. He had been in New Orleans since Katrina and had not financially supported is wife or son, with rare visits home during 2006. He divorced his wife in December, afer he returned from a 2 week trip to Taiwain which he brought this woman back. He said he had to buy her a roundtrip ticket because of her 30 day visa. Now he has up and married her this past weekend in Louisiana by a JP against all wishes of his family. He has made statements that she will get her work visa in 6 months and become a citizen in 2 years. But he has hepitits C and does have a good

Does the homestead law protect his estate for his next of kin, their son for being denied his rights to his father's estate before this woman does, or does she automatically get it all because the got married. I was told he asked her to sign a prenup but she wuld start crying when asked! Give me a break, I hope he wasn't that stupid to marry without one. What are his son's rights. He also has not paid any court ordered child suport since the divorce and told his ex-wife not to worry about it right now, just puts her off. He is spending all his money on this woman and not paying his bills. Bill collectors are callig my ex-sister in laws house for him now. This all so crazy, does this effect allow her claim of my father inlaws estate if my brother in law dies first? What can we do?
Can she stay here like that or should call INS? My brother in law told my husband, that she had 4-5 other men lined up, but she picked him! Am I out of line or is this right????!!!!

we are thought to let him enjoy his last days but he is very involved in a family business where these things are effecting day to dy life now. There is alot of hostility, no one treats her very welcoming because nobody trusts her becasue of how she got here. There will be legal diliemmas after he dies becasue of the son! We can't just hand everything over to her when we all have be so involed before she came in the picture.
Supposedly the JP needed 4 witnesses because she is an immigrant. But he somehow talked the JP ou of it, because he couldn't get 4 people to do it for them. Is that legal of the JP?This is beyond morality, it's the legal ramifications is my main concern for my nephew
Come to find out, she has 4 school age kids, does that mean they get come here too??? He's not even paying his child support!!

If he makes a will, the money will go to whomever he designates. As long as he's in sound mind, then it will be difficult to challenge the will.
Regardless of this man's character (or lack of it), his estate is his to do with what he will. If he has a lawyer draw up the will, they'll make sure he leaves one dollar to his son - that takes care of any challenge on the grounds that his child was deliberately excluded.
Sorry, it's very unlikely you can do anything about this.

If he hasn't been paying his child support, your sister in law can drag him to court for it and get the money. IF you can prove anything about his new wife, you might have a legal challenge. The 30 day visa should do it. You can use that against him, along with that he helped illegal immigration.
Talk to a local lawyer.

If his new spouse has a husband and not divorced - the marriage is illegitimate. you merely shrink the guy out of the kin company. end of tale. the guy is reaping what he sows and he seems to savour residing existence in the gutter. You cant shop a guy who doesnt decide to maintain himself. Do despite you may do (legally! and in the confines of the regulation) and swap your backs on him. As to your sister - she needs to get on together with her existence and locate somebody greater deserving of her.

Your sister-in-law really needs a lawyer. Not a bunch of Yahooligans giving you advice.
As for your brother-in-law's relationships, who cares? All women are gold-diggers, some are just better at denying it than others.

She probably doesn't speak English, bonus for him. Your sister probably never shuts up like you. On and on and on about nothing but yourself, what about what he wants.
