3) Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor E4300 1.8GHz

for a windows vista Home Premium With 2 GB of RAM, that will be a media center.

Obviously, number 3, the Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor E4300 1.8GHz.

But the quality of the motherboard might be suspect. You have to compare performance, but installation. Look at ratings and benchmark results.

Intel(R) Pentium(R) D 925 (3.0GHz, 4MB,800MHz in my opinion for xp for vista I'd have 2 go with Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor E4300 1.8GHz

the core 2 has the most processing power but it's also the most expensive

if you're not gonna be running any games you could save money picking up a pentium d and an older 875 canterwood motherboard

Core 2 duo hands down. if you wait a while you can get a quad core CPU..

Core2Duo no question, the best processors on the markey, it is like equal to around 3.2GH trust me, i am a geek.
