what i find funny, is that you describe heaven, and too many people say they rather die and be with god...
people are dumb.
No i would not like to live forever, because life would be a curse not a blessing.

Heck yes!
There are so many amazing things and places to experience, and never enough time to enjoy them all. Just think of how many more books you could read, music you could listen to, beaches you could sunbathe on. Eternity on Earth? You bet your bippee!
Just for fun I googled this subject and came up with an article about the Alcor Extreme Life Extension Conference for people who want immortality. I loved this passage:
"Take, for example, Miss Alabama's argument, if you can call it that, given during the Miss America competition in 1994. The competition host asked: "If you could live forever, would you want to, and why?" Miss Alabama answered, "I would not live forever, because we should not live forever, because if we were supposed to live forever, then we would live forever, but we cannot live forever, which is why I would not live forever."

I guess i would and i wouldn't
I would because I'd love to see what the future is like, and how technology develops, how governments evolve, how society itself evolves.
I wouldn't because (and this may seem negative) no matter how great things get, there will always be problems in the world. And history has seemed to repeat itself, so there will probably still be wars, political debates, racism, etc. And after a while, that may get old.

We humans who have not had a taste of immortality like to think that death is the doom of men, but if you think about it carefully, it's the gift of men actually. It's something every immortal envies. If you read the LOTR books, you will find more on this matter.
Wouldn't you want to take a deep long rest when you lived for nearly an eternity?

Thats a good question-it really made me think. personally, i would not want to live forever because that destroys the whole point of heaven and being w/ the Lord. It is the natural cycle for one to grow old, get sick, etc. but if we lived and nobody else would be born, then we would get tired of the same ppl. if ppl didnt get sick or die or go to heaven or hell then that destroys the whole purpose of life. hope this helps :-)

If there was a pill that allowed people to live forever in good health it would quickly be outlawed. Death is a necesary component to capitalism. Eternal life in good health would mean the end of the pharmaceutical and insurance industries and they have the power to make sure that doesn't happen.

i could want to stay perpetually. i'm 20 now, and that i could probable p.c. to be perpetually sixty 8. i think of by using the time i'm sixty 8, i'm going to have executed many existence goals, alongside with determining to purchase a house, doing loads of traveling, getting married, having babies, and each little thing else i had to do. 13 grew to become right into a tricky age for me. I suffered melancholy after dealing with a scientific disaster. i do no longer care touching directly to the previous; I only want to go forward into the destiny and stay my existence! :)

That would force us to go out to the stars and other planets and colonize space as well as learn to build cities under the sea.
