good book....any ways...the way sameness is in our world is that everyone is practically brainwashed...girls are being brainwshed into thinking they need to be stick thin because of all the models they see...what celebrities wear others go out and buy it to be the SAME....another way to view this is that soceity is all the same...everyone thinks the only things important in our life are money, what clothes you wear, and all kinds of materialistic things...you never hear anyone saying "oh albert einstien he was famous scientist so im gonna be like him and actually care about school!" no instead kids are like "look at that thin model, i want to look like her so ill be anorexic!" All in all our society is branwashed into thinking that the most absurd things are whats important in life...

If everyone in that world had their own memory, the community would probably not be killing babies and old people, because since they have never experienced love, they don't really feel bad about killing babies.

Both Jonas's world and our world try to make things more convenient, even if it destroys other things. For example cars and pollution.

I had to read this stupid book too.
