I'm just about as scared as u r.

It could damage her very badly if she doesn't eat something. U can tell her that she looks great as herself and that she doesn't have 2 conform 2 an image. U should also tell her parents. They need 2 know about this. Another option is 2 suggest therapy or do an intervention.

I hope everything works out 4 u and her. :)

Anorexia is a serious illness but it can be overcome. Your friend's period will resume as soon as she starts eating properly and regains a healthy weight. She is not having periods because a girl needs a certan amount of body fat to have menses. Anorexia can cause a mulitple amount of physical illness, it affects cardiovascular, heart, lungs, digestive, issues, she needs help. Physically, aside from being a skeleton, she will age quicker and and that leads to moe depression and obsession to remain thin. finally, if it gets WAY out of hand, she could die in a matter of years. She will also have some emotional problems due to the anorexia- more than likely depression. You need to tell her, in a way that won't get her mad at you, that she needs help, and you will be with her all the way. She needs treatment for her anorexia, but she also needs support from her friends. She needs help, and you need to be there to help her along. Good Luck and Best Wishes!!!!

It could kill her eventually if she lets it get to far. Someone else suggested show her some pictures of people with anorexic like before and after pictures maybe that will do it. Either that or tell her parents or your parents to have a talk with her parents so she can get the treatment that she needs. That is more of a mental condition and she might need to see a special doctor about the problem.

she won't lose the ability to have kids, but in the long run she will just be an inactive person. she will probably end up a stump because she will be too weak to to anything and she will also have some emotional problems due to the anorexia- more than likely depression.

If your friend is anorexic, then she needs to seek some help. She's not having her period, which is an effect from the anorexia. I'm not sure if this could cause her to lose her ability to have children, but it is possible that this disease could kill her someday. Anorexia affects the body's ability to fight off sickness. Please try to get her help!

That's bad news. Anorexia is more of a mental issue than a physical one - she could do with some professional counseling.

A girl needs to be over 115 pounds to get her period. her body is just telling her that she isn't ready to have a period yet. When she reaches that she will get her period. nothing is wrong and she is still healthy.
