It hurts because you do not have it inserted far enough. If it is in properly you should not feel anything at all. Pull it out slowly because it has not absorbed anything it could tear some tissue, so be careful. Then get another new tampon and make sure you follow the directions.

You should make sure you are using one with a plastic applicator. When I use ones w/ out an applicator, or even the cardboard ones, it is sometimes difficult and can hurt. And make sure that you push it in all the way, b/c when I first used them, They always felt dry and uncomfortable, and then I realized it was b/c I never put it in all the way, so I felt something in me constantly. When you get it in correctly, You will not feel a thing, and my time of the month was forever changed. Pads are the worst thing ever! I havent worn them since. Try Playtex Gentle Glide , they are the ones I usually use. And make sure you get a rounded tip, b/c the open tip ones suck!

There is a muscle band at the beginning of your vagina you have to get the tampon past that band or it will hurt.
Remove the one you have and insert the tampon farther into your vagina.
It won't disappear. The vagina is only about 4 inches long and the cervix keeps things from going any farther into the abdomen. So you can't lose one in your belly.

Until you get the tampon past the opening band, it will continue to hurt and give you back pain.

First, RELAX! Then lightly pull on the string to remove it. If youre using the kind with the applicator make sure its it far enough like put it in until you feel some resistance or your fingers are close to your vagina. then insert it. probably whats happening is its not in far enough. if that doesnt work use a smaller one and you should really never use the supers unless you make sure to change it ever 2-3 hours or you could get TSS.

Just pull it out very slowly and carefully. Make sure you are relaxed. It will be a little uncomfortable since it isn't absorbed at all, but just make sure you do it slowly. :) The next one you put it, make sure it is in far enough or it will hurt.

theres a string on the end of the tampon pull on it gently. try again use a different position or angle the tampon differently. it really shouldn't hurt. if it does it is not in right. so take it out and try again. good luck tampons really are better then pads.

I dont think u are putting it in right. I had the same problem. What i do is i put my foot up like about as high as a toilet( i do side of my shower. And then put it in. it is a different position that helps it be more comfotable. and if u have to take it out right away, relax and pull slowley. good luck

you could be using the wrong size or could not have put it in right. best thing too do it relax as best as you can an gradually ease the tampon out. its best not too keep it there if your in any discomfort. good luck

If it hurts, you probablly did not insert it in all the way. You need to relax, relax your muscels - don't tense up and pull gentley on the srting.
