I have been working for my ucle's business doing some paperwork on and off. I received about 300 dollars over the year for the work and also worked off a cleaning job that he did for me. I never filled out a W4 and the checks that I got from him didn't withold anything. Should I get a W2 for the work I did?

If you earned less than $600, an employer does not have to give you one. I would ask him just to make sure if he plans to declare your earnings. If he does, you need a W2 and must declare the earnings.

Good luck

Your uncle does not have to provide you with a W-2, he did not pay you enough over the course of the year. If your uncle reported the wages to IRS, you may want to just declare the $300 as misc. earnings when you file your taxes Although, with this low dollar amount, it most certainly wouldn't raise any flags if you didn't.

You would rather need a 1099-Misc form... but such is issued only if you earned $600 plus the entire year from that employer. So the answer is - NO.
