I think manson is the best but what do you guys think??

I'm a die-hard Alice Cooper fan, and at first I just ignorantly dismissed Manson as an Alice Cooper rip-off due to the similarities (guy with a girl's first name, shock-rock theatrics, pale complexion, long black hair, make-up, etc.). But eventually I realized that these are just a few surface similarities. When I got to hear more of Manson's music, got to see his videos, and read his book (which I could NOT put down after I started reading), I realized Manson certainly had his own thing. He fully admited that Alice was an influence, but it's obvious that he wasn't the only one. I can't say that I like Manson's style of music a lot, but I do recognize and respect what he's doing. He's a very smart guy, and his interviews leave a lot of readers with something to think about.
It's funny how history repeats itself, though. In the 70s people claimed Alice killed animals on the stage. Then in the 80s I remember people claiming Ozzy Osbourne did the same thing. Then the same old urban myths surfaced again for Marilyn Manson in the 90s. Manson has been such a convenient scapegoat for so many people. The Manson haters seem to depend on him as much as the Manson fans.

How do you define what's "cool" for everyone? I like Marilyn Manson. I don't know if he's "cool" or not. But, he's incredibly intelligent and well-spoken.

um, marilyn manson... hmm... some of his stuff is good but yea he's a little weird, im not sure to call him cool or not

Not really, but how cool is it to look like an idiot and have everybody hate you, yet be smart as hell! He is very intelligent and can out do anyone who disses him. He knows more about everything than most people. Very well read. For that, I like him.

We used the intro of Beautiful People to bring our wedding party into the reception. Yeah, I dig his music.
