We have a oil summer winter boiler system. We get our hot water from the same system that provides our heat. They seem to have separate plumbing. Can I leave off my hot water overnight as I need to replace some of my plumbing lines and want to let the glue dry on the CPVC pipe. Will I stillbe able to have heat?? Thanks for any advice.

Yes you can. The domestic water is a separate zone and has it's own circulator. There should be shut off valves going into the coil and also coming out. Just take your time and trace the lines so you know which are the lines that you need to isolate. Good Luck.

I have a boiler system. The heating was not working and the hot water for the sink was. Suggests 2 seperate systems. Should be the same for you

If they are separate systems, and they probably are turning off the Hot water line should be OK.
Don't shut off the boiler feed water though or you may have big problems.

Is there anyway you can get advice from an old neighbor or even a recent neighbor? Most neighbors who live in a general area and have same system, could possible, give you an answer without calling in a plumber. Good Luck
