ouch! I'm a "Nail Biters Anonymous" graduate and I used to bite my nails below the nail line and I would end up hurting afterward. I finally gave that up, it was hard, but i did it

I used to hide my hands so other people wouldn't see the mess I've created. I think thats what got me to stop biting my nails...it looked soooo unattractive and I would have died if a guy grabbed my hand an felt the jagged mess on my fingers.

And no..I don't bite or chew my toe nails...ew.

I used to but stared using the nail varnish that tastes horrible in May '06 and haven't bit them since (well only to neaten them up/blunt sharp edges). Because I used to bite them so much my skin below my nails on my fingers would crack all the time and sometimes get extremely sore. I'd recommend using the nail varnish I used if you are thinking about stopping your habit.

Used to bite my nails till they bled but I stopped a few years ago when I nearly died from Salmonella poisoning. When the source of food poisoning could not be found, swabs were taken from my fingernails where traces of Salmonella were found. Never bitten my toe nails, could never reach, thank f"@k for that.

i began out biting my nails while my mum stopped me sucking my thumb. they're incredibly short and that i've got faith they look terrible! Have tried to renounce yet dont additionally be conscious of that i'm doing it 0.5 the time till somebody tells me to renounce! the only time I do supply up biting and dont even pass to place them in my mouth is when I even have fake nails I even have finished myself or finished professionally, the only challenge I even have stumbled on with it fairly is that it incredibly is high priced and makes my nails very vulnerable so they simply snap off

it is sort of normal>>
i bite the skin around my nails till they bleed
so a few months ago i decided to stop it's pretty hard to stop but that's the only way atleast the habit is gradually decreasing >>
advise your friend to do so too
but unless she decides to stop herself it's useless but don't forget it may be a little normal but that doesn't mean it's not bad

don't bite your nails. It's disgusting, germs, and especialy later on you will regret because your nails will look like old grandpa nails who farms all day.
