hi, i have WRT54g router from linksys, i am using this router for my motel business, so i can provide free wireless internet to my guest. is it possible to keep records of computers who use internet through my network, so i don't get in trouble for stuff they do illegal on my network. i want information like what time they log on, date, ip address, etc

You may want to get an more "industral" router. The router you have is for more of a home based wireless system and the signal may only go a couple hundred feet. You can always ask Linksys, they should help better than Yahoo answers.

You are not liable for net work usage of any manner by a computer user. Where did you ever get that Idea?

Its also illegal in most states as an invasion of privacy to request those things like IP addresses etc. Furthermore, a criminal wouldnt give you the correct info anyhow.

get a network management system; plenty of them on the internet such as Novell

that's usually on the manual for the router, give it a flip see what u find
