she is..?? looks black to me...but then again in the acting world...you don't actually have to be the same race as the character you're playing...as long as you look like you are then everything is perfect...like angelina jolie....playing a bi racial woman...we all know she's white...but she has very exotic features...

Ummm because she is Black, because of slave trade Black people come from all over the world. Her parents are Black Dominicans. Nationality has nothing to do with race. I'm Nigerian but live in the U.S but I'm still Black African. There are A LOT of Black latinos/hispanics such Merlin Santana (Romeo from the steve harvey show), Christina Milian, Sammy Sosa (regardless of what he says), Gina Torres etc..

what is Black?...having Brown skin...over half the world has people with brown skin...before Slavery, The Moors from Africa as in who Shakespeare based the lead character from "Othello" on...traveled as far as Italy and had relations with the women there...some Sicillians could pass for light skinned Africans...there are alot of narrow minded prejudious people making comments without knowing anything about history or having common sense to realize that Hispanics have a wide spectrum of complexions because some have more African blood than others...Dominicans, Cubans, and Puerto Ricans have that distinction... hispanic is used to discribe anyone who speaks Spanish basically...Does it matter what color her skin is...or what race she should be designated as..she is beautiful and talented...like so many other unappeciated actresses who are women of color.

um sweetheart she is a black. her parents are from dominican republic but not hispanic by ethnicity. thats just like saying "oh that girls from france...shes not BLACK!!"
