A palindrome is a word that is spelled the same forwards and backwards like mom or dad or racecar. 10 points go the first person who knows the longest one word english palindrome. Good luck. Have fun.

The longest non-capitalized palindromic words that actually appear in English dictionaries are "releveler" and "redivider". "Detartrated" is listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as the longest one, but it does not appear in any dictionaries, nor does "tattarrattat" . Another one that doesn't appear is "aibohphobia", a contrived word intended to mean "fear of palindromes" (heh heh).

It isn't one word, but I still had to post this because it's my favorite: What did the first man say when he met the first woman?

Madam I'm Adam.

Detartrated? (assuming you mean that tattarrattat isn't the one you're looking for)
