High School Musical is Grease in 2006!! I mean, geeky girl and popular guy meet on vacation, meet at same school, become bf and gf ect...it's the same storyline if you look at it!

I don't mean to insult Grease...I think it's a fab movie and a classic. But it just bugs me that some crappy Disney Channel TV movie had to copy the idea!!

I couldn't make it through High School Musical. Horrible movie. But, Grease, well, it's a classic.

I did not notice this because I make it a point to not watch crappy movies. Not saying Grease is crappy, but high school musical doesn't even deserve capitalization!!! >:(

You are right on it being similar but you are way off on the girl guy team thing. It is smart girl jock and the team was the wild cats not the thunderbirds. But the shows were supposed to be similar.
