All depends on the type? Where? What? When? So many things involved to answer that. Sorry.

i try to do some planning the day before, at the end of the day. But I make a list of all the things I need to do and then prioritize it. Those that are most important I put on my calendar with a deadline. I do not overschedule myself though, because I constant interruptions and visitors.

I take all the outstanding items from the previous day's list. I read my e-mail and add to my to-do's. I read my calendar and write down where I need to be and if there are any to-do's. Then looking at one sheet of paper, prioritize everything adn complete everything that NEEDS to be done before going home in the order they are written in.
