I've had it for quite some time now i've never brough attention to it because it's painless. it's like a bone sticking out... i'm always tired but that's probably because of the lack of sleep.. i'm curious as to what it could be and if it's serious or not.. thanks.

If it's right in the center of the back, it's normal. I don't know what it's called, but it's part of the skull and nothing to worry about. I have asked my doctor this same question before.

The occipital part of the skull, has a bony protuberance...but if it is a concern for you, and you have unexplained fatigue, I'd get it checked out...you will feel a lot better finding out it is nothing to worry about...then maybe you will be able to sleep better. And if there is something there, the doctor will make his suggestions to look into the problem.

Get an x-ray and find out.
