Hawaii is a chain of island formed out of volcanic activity . It became the 50th state on August 21, 1959. The capital of Hawaii is Honolulu which is located on the island of Oahu. The island of Oahu is known as the gathering place. Hawaii was ruled by a monarchy from the 1800s to the early 20th century by a series of kings called Kamehameha. Tourism is our biggest industry. The other Hawaiian islands are the Big Island, Maui ,Kauai, Niihau, Lanai,Niihau, and Kahoolave and Molokai.

The Big Island of Hawaii is actually the tip of the tallest and most massive mountain in the world (when measured from the sea floor).
Hawaii is the southernmost state in the US (but not the westernmost).
Three of the five islands that make up the Big Island are still active. Kilauea has been erupting since 1983, making it the longest-erupting volcano in recorded history, according to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

America stole it from the natives. Also forced the queen into house arrest and it took many years for an american apology.
Also Japan wanted Hawaii and was planning on helping the country.
In the late 1800's American business men and politicians are were as bad as they are now. Robber Barons and Monopoly's of states. land , industries and resources.
Funny how time repeats itself, America took over Hawaii , now Iraq, same thing, different time.

There is a park in Hawaii where the Menhune roam. In that park is a sealed cave loaded with ancient Hawaiian artifacts and those who entered the cave were killed by Menehune to walk in their sleep and off to the cliff and fall to their death.
I've been there and it is no game. The cave is sealed and spectators look and tourists look at the sealed cave, but that is as far as you want to go.
