It is good if you learn to dribble a basketball without looking at the ball its kewl they have these goggles that allow you to develop this, they have them at most sport outlets. Also I used to shoot 500 shots from one place and move around on the court, it also helps if you have a person retreving the ball for you this way you don't lose your edge and you focus more on your shots. It is really good to follow through and follow your shots. Um... Free throws are essential in the game, they may not seem like it but they do add up. Hmm... O yea doing the ball handling and dribbling skills you learn in a normal practice scene is really great to learn on your own. Hope you enjoy your time out on the courts as much as I do.

You practice, but you have to know what to practice. If you just want to get better, then play better people than you and you will develop some basketball skill. I always walk around with a basketball to dribble to work on my handles, that works too, and dribblin 100 times with each finger will help your handles also. The magic fundamentals work great also!
Good LucK!!!!

well it depends what u wanna improve in
if u wanna improve ur dribble, just grab a ball and take it everywhere u go
if u wanna improve ur shot, watch how experienced players do it and go from there
dont try to do things exactly how others do it because everyone has different characteristics and always be ur self and play in a way that u feel comfortable
and like they say, practice makes perfect
be at the courts whenever u get a chance

Try asking any brothers if they can help you hone your basletball skills, even play either your brothers or your dad in a game of horse. A game where you shoot and make it then they have too shoot from that same spot. If they make, then the next person has to make it from that spot. If they miss it, then they get an H. And so on and so forth until either you spell horse or they spell horse. Hope that helps:)

if you wanna work on your handles dribble a ball with out looking at it. then progress to doing crossovers. if it shootin try one-hand progressions. progression is when you start near the basket and shoot with one hand. move back after about 5 or 10 times. eventually u will be at the free thrown line and your shot will show improvement

ok i play basketball for college and i wasnt always good either.... i know that everyone is gonna tell you that "practice makes perfect" well that may be true... but this is what i did, i would go out back where i had a hoop and do drills by myself, then once i thought that i got a little better i would play 2 on 2 with my older cousins who were on a good team and they helped me, but most of it was on my own, you have to want to play and get better , you have to be the one outside everyday shooting and what not... well i hope this helped a little bit!
Good Luck!

i am on the travel team and the best hing to do is half court shots and 3 pointers and do a few ribbling drills. blocking is the easiest part one arm to bloack the shot up high and the other down low to prevent the pass.
